Batplane II, 1950

This panel from Batman No. 61 shows Bruce Wayne and his ward, Dick Grayson, in the design phase of producing Batplane II. The complete blueprints on the board tells the reader about all the ingenious crime-fighting devices built into the new Batplane. Unfortunately, the ship's wings are drawn much differently in these blueprints than they are in illustrations of the completed aircraft. The blueprint shows straight wings while the finished plane has swept wings.
