Issue No. 197

...

June 1964

The War Between the Blackhawks: This issue began the "New Blackhawks," which along with working for Mr. Cipher (the spelling was changed from last issue), saw the introduction of new uniforms. These were dreadful things with green tights instead of trousers and red shirts with black panels like some bad cowboy shirt. The only good thing about the uniforms is that Chop-Chop finally got one. The uniforms are part of the Blackhawks masquerade as they split into two teams and join opposing sides in a middle eastern war. They diffuse the war and bring it to a peaceful conclusion after some interesting adventures involving WW II era bombers and tanks, and giant prehistoric turtles.
