... | January 1968 The Walking Booby-traps!: The Blackhawks are released by Barbarossa and Johnny Vak. They discover that tiny explosive charges have been inserted under their scalps at the back of their heads. They escape arrest by GEORGE and return to defeat Barbarossa. Johnny saves them in the end, despite his reprogramming by Barbarossa and dies again as a hero. The Blackhawks discover that the bombs in their heads are duds because the doctor who inserted them for Barbarossa is really a double agent working for GEORGE. A mediocre ending for a story that started well in #237. |
