Jets In Flames - The Hawks investigate a rash of mysterious plane crashes and pilot deaths related to the Lummins Aircraft Company. Even the jets Blackhawk has ordered from the same company crash, the lives of the U.S. pilots saved in time by Blackhawk's quick thinking. When the Hawks call on Lummins, they're told by foreign spies that the aircraft the company builds are sabotaged to impede America's aerial growth.

The Song Of Treachery - The Hawks are asked, in essence, to invade the island of Lados to look for an American agent who was shot down by antiaircraft on his way home from South America. With him, the agent had a precious ore sample the U.S. government wants badly. The problem with the island is its criminal inhabitants. Ever since the French government abandoned its ownership of the worthless strip of swampland, and since there is no extradition treaties, it's become a haven for every sort of underworld character. The Hawks land and make contact with the locals but are wary of a saloon piano player named Skelly Bones and attracted to club singer Tama. The search for the agent and the ore takes some interesting twists.

Mavis, Tigress of the Seas- The notorious she-pirate of the seas, Mavis, and her cutthroat crew are interrupted by the Hawks in their attempt to rob and sink a cargo ship. The Hawks capture her and the crew and take control of her ship, the Princess. During their course home, Chuck is chosen to care for their beautiful captive. Mavis makes her escape by knocking him out when he brings her food. Newspapers later report Chuck has quit the Blackhawk team which prompts Mavis to seek him out to join her gang of pirates.
