Issue No. 74

March, 1954

Plan of Death: One of the most intricate plots of this era of Blackhawks. A villain named Renard spends ten years studying the Blackhawks in order to compile their weaknesses in a volume titled "101 Ways to Defeat the Blackhawks." He auctions the book to a hooded villain who eventually is identified as Killer Shark. The Blackhawks foil several plots to exploit their individual weaknesses (Chop-Chop for children; Andre for beautiful women; Hendrickson for cheese; Blackhawk for the welfare of the other Blackhawks) and capture Killer Shark.

The Blackhawks---Wanted for Murder: The Blackhawks are framed by an Eastern European dictator who hires someone to impersonate Blackhawk. With the assistance of a patriotic puppeteer, the Blackhawks prove their innocence.

The Sky Sleds: (Cover Story) A boy who invents one-man jets that resemble sleds tries to interest the Blackhawks in his invention, but is duped into building the jets for an evil eastern European dictator who uses them against the Blackhawks. The boy manages to help the Blackhawks turn the tables.
