Issue No. 167

... December 1961

Challenge of the Solar Master: Mr. Solar uses sun powered devices to combat the Black Knights. Blackhawk defeats him with some very questionable chemistry (he hides in a gold sun globe which Mr. Solar can't melt with his solar bolts because, according to Blackhawk, "gold is one of the hardest metals to melt." Not what I was taught but maybe it's true in the DC universe.)

The Blackhawk Bandits: Three acrobats disguise themselves as Blackhawks to commit robberies. The Blackhawks turn the tables and pose as the crooks to infiltrate a criminal hide out.

The Demons of Forbidden Cove: Crooks dress as demons to scare the inhabitants of a Pacific island away from a cove where they have discovered a stash of valuable ambergris. Notice that on the cover, the Blackhawks are armed.
