... February 1963

Ultra the Super Robot (a two part story): A criminal scientist builds Ultra, a giant robot that can change into an infinite variety of shapes to commit crimes. The Blackhawks knock it over a cliff, but instead of destroying it, the fall frees the robot from the scientist's control and it becomes even more dangerous. Ultra starts to build an army of robots to do its bidding. The Blackhawks use giant electromagnets to pull Ultra apart.

The Tom Thumb Blackhawk: Tiny Big, a 36 inch tall unemployed circus performer, decides to join the team as the "Tom Thumb Blackhawk." At first he is a nuisance to the real Blackhawks, but eventually proves himself and though he isn't accepted into the team, his decision to create a new act from his experience is endorsed.
