Issue No. 267

February 1984

Behind Enemy Lines!: Blackhawk poses as his own double (see issue 266) to get close enough to Hitler to kill him. He finds himself drawn to a beautiful young waitress in a ghast haus. Her name is Helga, the same as Domino. He wonders that he doesn't hate her as he thought he hated all Germans. He meets Hitler but must wait for a chance to kill him. Helga follows him to Berlin to return his papers which he left at the inn. They talk and dine and kiss. Blackhawk tries to kill Hitler but the guard's gun he seizes is empty. He barely escapes with his life.

Detached Service Diary - All the Comforts of War!: Stan travels with a Russian regiment while looking for a spy. He is appalled at how the Russian colonel treats his men, eating well while they get by on scraps. When Stan finds the colonel's meal has been poisoned, he convinces him to set a trap. A new meal is cooked and Stan announces that the colonel is sharing his dinner with his men. When he spots one man not eating, Stan knows he is the spy. The colonel sees that his men are happy with a decent meal and learns a lesson. (illustrated by Mike Sekowsky and Rick Hoberg)
