The Silent Treatment: In Italy, the Blackhawks meet a former classmate of Gaynor's and learn more about him. They encounter another of Merson's steel worms. Chuck poses as a German general in Marrakech to gather information about Gaynor's secret past. Blackhawk tricks the steel worm into driving over a cliff. Gaynor kills a German general and his wife and child. It's too much for the Blackhawks and they give him the silent treatment. Gaynor resigns and is killed six months later in Russia.

Detached Service Diary - The Little Town of Resistance: Blackhawk is outraged when he finds that Allied Command has written off La Resistance, believing it can not hold out another week. The village and the Black Knights fight on, but without support in the form of ammunition and supplies from the allies, there is no hope. Eventually, the town's people leave to disappear into the country side and the town does fall to the Germans. (illustrated by Joe Staton)
